Criminal Justice Issues After Hurrican Katrina

This course is to provide the student a unique insight into the criminal justice,emergency management,and home- land security issues specifically in the New Orleans area. The course will explore the procedures and challenges presented by Hurricane Katrina and changes made in procedures following this catastrophic event. The agenda for the course includes class presentations,tours of agencies,to include briefings from DEA,County Sheriff’s Department,Police Department,and adult correctional centers.
