UM-DeSoto New Student Orientation 2008

You are invited to attend New Student Orienation 2008 at The University of Mississippi- DeSoto at 5197 W.E. Ross Parkway (off of Church Rd) in Southaven. Orientation sessions for admitted students will be held on:

Tuesday, July 8  from 2:30-4:30 p.m.
or
Tuesday, July 29 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
(Session will last approximately 2 hours)

You can choose either 2-hour session at The UM-DeSoto campus in July.

  • Orientation is required for all new students.
  • You must be fully admitted to attend.

If you have not already registered to attend, please contact the UM-DeSoto campus at (662) 342-4765 to do so.  

During Orientation you will be able to:

  • review UM academic and financial aid policies
  • register your vehicle for parking
  • have your student i.d. photo made
  • order your textbooks
  • learn more about services offered for UM-DeSoto students including: library and computer access, disability services, career and academic counseling, and student organizations.
  • Get your FREE UM-DeSoto goodies!

Before you attend orientation, please be sure to:

  • File your FAFSA with the UM Financial Aid Office.
  • Submit your medical history and vaccination forms.
  • For vehicle registration purposes, please bring your vehicle's license plate number along with you to Orientation.
