Dominic J. Gianna is a founding partner of Middleberg Riddle & Gianna (New Orleans & Dallas) and is a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers. Gianna was awarded the prestigious Keeton Award from NITA as the most outstanding teacher of trial advocacy in the United States.
He has also served as Team Leader and Faculty for NITA National and Regional Trial Programs and is the Founder and Director of NITA’s Gulf Coast Advocacy Training and Gulf Coast Deposition Training Programs. He is the Director of Trial Advocacy at LSU School of Law, and has been a visiting faculty member of the trial techniques faculty of Emory and Tulane University Schools of Law. Gianna shares a special perspective from the bench, having served as a District Judge pro tem and as Special Master in complex civil mass tort cases.

Thomas A. Mauet is the Milton O. Riepe Professor of Law and Director of Trial advocacy at the University of Arizona College of Law in Tucson. He is this generation’s most influential writer in the field of litigation, contributing 15 editions of four best-selling books to the legacy of litigation training.
Mauet’s extensive teaching and writing experience is thoughtfully balanced by years of experience as a working trial lawyer - first as an Illinois State’s Attorney, then as a United States Attorney, and finally in private practice. Tom Mauet has practiced what he preaches. His expertise in the art of advocacy is internationally recognized. Mauet was the recipient of the 2005 Richard S. Jacobson Award for Excellence in Teaching Trial Advocacy from the Roscoe Pound Institute. Mauet served as the Howrey Professor of Trial Advocacy at George Washington University National Law Center and as a faculty member of the Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy Workshop. Professor Mauet has served on numerous regional and national faculties for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and has taught and demonstrated trial techniques throughout North America, New Zealand and Australia.
